Health & Safety
At Insmed, we believe that a safe and healthy workplace is the foundation of a thriving, innovative team. We build and refine our safety programs with regulatory rigor and genuine care for the people who power our mission.
Protecting our people
Employee health and safety is a top priority for Insmed and central to maintaining a robust, innovative work environment. We continuously improve our health and safety programs to satisfy applicable regulations and incorporate employee input. Our Safety Committees — staffed by employees across departments and levels at each research site — develop plans and procedures to identify and mitigate hazards. Quarterly meetings are chaired by Insmed’s Director of Environmental Health & Safety, who reports regularly to leadership on program performance and any emerging safety concerns.
Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics sets the foundation for our health and safety expectations. All laboratory personnel are trained on our safety manual, covering core principles and processes, and every new lab hire completes Safety Awareness training before getting started. From there, all lab employees complete an annual refresher course to stay current.
